Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is looking for 17 Construction AmeriCorps members as well as 1 AmeriCorps VISTA member for Volunteer Services.
AmeriCorps and VISTA positions are a great opportunity for people to give back to the community in the form of public service. Members will learn new skills, acquire qualities of leadership and gain a sense of satisfaction from taking on responsibilities that directly affect others’ lives.
AmeriCorps/Habitat for Humanity benefits include:
-Living allowance of $12,100 for the year of service
-Education Award at the end of service in the amount of $5,550.00 for student loans
-Loan forbearance for most student loans
-Childcare assistance for qualified members
-10 leave and 10 sick days, in addition to any affiliate holidays
