May 2, 2012 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KELLER WILLIAMS VOLUNTEERS WITH HABITAT Gulfport, MS (May 2, 2012) – Keller Williams Realty associates will celebrate RED Day by volunteering on a home construction build site with Habitat for Humanity of the MS Gulf Coast. RED Day (Renew, Energize and Donate) is an initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams Realty’s year-round commitment to improving the local communities. Each year, on the second Thursday in May, tens of thousands of Keller Williams associates from across the United States and Canada participate in a wide range of projects, devoting their time to renewing and energizing aspects of the neighborhoods in which they serve. This year’s event is being held on Thursday, May 10, 2012. As many as 25 Keller Williams associates will be working with Habitat on the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) house located at 1505 School Avenue in Pascagoula from 8 am to 4 pm. LEED for Homes is a green home certification program that rewards homes designed and built to be energy and resource efficient and more healthy and durable for the occupants. LEED-certified homes complete a technically rigorous process that includes a home energy (HERS) rating and onsite inspections to verify that the home is built to be energy and water efficient, environmentally sound, and a healthier place to live. Habitat for Humanity completed its first LEED home in 2011 receiving a Gold rating. Habitat hopes to receive the highest rating possible – Platinum on this second home. Recognizing her leadership in guiding the culture of Keller Williams Realty, RED Day is held in honor of Ms. Mo Anderson, Vice Chairman of the Board of Keller Williams Realty.
