The Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast elected Carlene Alfonso to serve as a member of the Board during the January 19th meeting. Alfonso’s term began in January 2012.
Ms. Alfonso is the CEO of Coldwell Banker Alfonso Realty in Gulfport. She began her career in real estate in 1975 when she became licensed as a salesperson. In 1978, Alfonso received her Broker license and has several real estate designations. Ms. Alfonso has been involved in many industry associations and served in leadership positions including Board of Directors of the National Association of Realtors, President and Realtor of the Year for the Mississippi Association of Realtors and the Gulf Coast Association of Realtors.
Ms. Alfonso has been involved in many civic organizations including serving as President of the Pass Christian Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of the Humane Society of South Mississippi and Secretary on the Board of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
