Sponsorship Opportunities for the 2008 Work Project:

New Home

HFHMGC has five different new construction sponsorship opportunities available. Your organization can sponsor anywhere from one to eight new homes along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  All include volunteer opportunities for your house during the build week. Another new home sponsorship option is to sponsor a HFHMGC house being built in the years to come.

Volunteer Scolarships

Habitat can not build without the help of volunteers. Thousands have already been to the Gulf Coast, but there is still a lot more to be done. Sponsorship packages are available for you to support anywhere from four volunteers during the JRCWP, to fifty volunteers.

Framing Frenzy

During the build week, volunteers will be framing homes at the Salavation Army's Yankie Stadium. HFHMGC has an opportunity for you to sponsor three of these houses. The sponsorship package also includes weeklong volunteer opportunities for four volunteers and the possibility of more volunteer opportunities to assemble frame at later date.

Rehabs

With more than half a million homes damaged or destroyed, rehab work is just as important as new construction in the Gulf. Our rehab package covers rehab work on four different homes, but only one will be worked on during the build week.

Testimonials

Before Katrina, I was living in a rental house paying six hundred dollars a month. It was amazing how things happen, because three days before Katrina, my landlord told me that my rent was going to go up to seven hundred and fifty dollars a month. I practically begged her not to raise the rent. I told her that I was working two jobs and I couldn’t pay that much. I cried.
